Riverdyne's Temple to Akon
The Temple of Akon in Riverdyne is an unusually large temple for Riverdyne’s 8,500 people. Despite its size, its sermons tend to be unusually under attended. Some speculate this low attendance derives from local temple policies to charge for healing services – especially when such services can be afforded. The poor often must wait weeks on a list for charitable healing and comfort.
Despite its low attendance, the temple is able to maintain its grandiose building and political influence through the sale of scrolls, potions, and other magic items created by its clerics. Complaints by citizens and its own clergy fall on the deaf ears of the temple’s elders. Those clergy that disapprove tend to leave Riverdyne rather than face sanctions for providing free services to the city.
